The Welco engineering Ltd. Is the concern of Dana Group. The com­pany was found in 1967 by its Chair­man Syed A. K. Ma­sud. It all started with trad­ing com­mod­ity items fol­lowed by sup­ply and ser­vic­ing of con­struc­tion, ir­ri­ga­tion and on site power gen­er­a­tion equip­ments for de­vel­op­ment pro­jects. Within the next cou­ple of decades, the com­pany be­gan its core op­er­a­tion by rep­re­sent­ing world class man­u­fac­tur­ers and turned out it to be one of the lead­ing names in Bangladesh for sup­ply­ing in­dus­trial en­gi­neer­ing equip­ments.

In the 1990’s there was an in­dus­trial boom in Bangladesh which saw hun­dreds of gar­ment, tex­tile, ce­ramic, phar­ma­ceu­ti­cals, steel man­u­fac­tur­ing com­pa­nies mush­room­ing through­out the coun­try. Dana En­gi­neers rode that in­dus­trial wave and be­came one of the biggest names in the coun­try for the sup­ply and ser­vic­ing of in­dus­trial gas gen­er­a­tors. Over the next years, the com­pany branched out into var­i­ous other busi­ness en­ti­ties like co-gen­er­a­tion, turnkey HVAC so­lu­tions, en­ergy au­dit­ing etc.

Dana Group along with its rep­u­ta­tion in terms of man­u­fac­tur­ing as well as pro­vid­ing so­lu­tions in var­i­ous in­dus­trial and busi­ness sec­tors rang­ing from En­gi­neer­ing, Tech­nol­ogy, En­ergy de­vel­op­ment, Cap­tive power gen­er­a­tion, Pe­tro­leum, Car rental, Tourism, Earth mov­ing con­struc­tion equip­ments, Lo­co­mo­tive, Ma­rine and many other sec­tors has been serv­ing as one of the lead­ing group of com­pa­nies in Bangladesh.
